In this in-process project we are being asked to look at the intersection of two systems in Montgomery, Alabama and what future scenarios may be created in these two systems. As a result we are asked to stimulate a chosen future scenario through a design.

I have chosen to look at the intersection of the Montgomery school system and the river infrastructure. While Montgomery is the focal point of racial reconciliation, its' school systems remain extremely segregated and in many ways exacerbate racial division. Additionally, the Alabama River runs through the heart of downtown Montgomery, but lacks connectivity to the city's infrastructure. This design looks at the intersection of the Montgomery school system reducing racial division & the city's infrastructure becoming increasingly involved with the river.
